Comprehensive Eye Exams

A comprehensive eye examination is suggested for those of all ages, even for those who seemingly have perfect vision. During a comprehensive examination, the patient’s eyes will be dilated so that the internal health of the eye is thoroughly examined. Dilation usually takes 15 to 45 minutes, and lasts 2 to 3 hours. It is safe to drive after dilation. At the end of this examination a prescription for  eyeglasses is obtained.
